When was MLP founded?

Marschollek, Lautenschläger & Partner was founded in 1971 by Eicke Marschollek and Manfred Lautenschläger in Heidelberg, Germany.

Where is MLP based?

The MLP head office is in Wiesloch near Heidelberg. The head offices of the subsidiaries Feri and TPC are in Bad Homburg and Hamburg respectively.

What kind of employment relationship do the consultants have with MLP?

All financial consultants work for MLP on a full-time basis as self-employed commercial agents.

Which training does an MLP consultant have?

MLP consultants are either university graduates (more than 80 percent) or have qualified in an appropriate educational field such as banking or insurance. On top of this, each new consultant undertakes a 2-year basic training course at the MLP Corporate University, which has, as one of only 15 corporate universities in Europe, been accredited by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). The insurance agent qualification (IHK), which is required under the German broker’s law (Vermittlerrecht) is integrated into this curriculum; new MLP consultants complete this course during the first three months of their training period. Upon completion of the basic training MLP consultants participate in further training in all relevant subject areas. Since July 2010 MLP also enables the consultants to prepare themselves for the certification to Certified Financial Planner (CFP), the highest internationally acknowledged quality standard in the financial services sector at the company’s own university. As an additional qualification MLP also offers the Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Which accounting method does MLP use to prepare its balance sheet?

Commencing with the annual report for the fiscal year 2003, MLP switched from the HGB (German Commercial Code) to the IFRS guidelines (International Financial Reporting Standards).

When does the fiscal year end?

The fiscal year ends on 31st December.

Can I receive MLP shares in the form of an actual certificate?

As is the practice in many companies, only a multiple share document exists for all the issued shares. There are therefore no individual share certificates or sheets.

When is the dividend paid?

The dividend is paid one day after the ordinary Annual General Meeting.

Which conditions must be fullfilled to attend the Annual General Meeting?

As a shareholder you should receive an invitation to the Annual General Meeting from your depositary bank , from whom you can also order an entrance pass for the Annual General Meeting.

I have not received an invitation to the Annual General Meeting. What can I do?

Please contact your depositary bank without delay and request that you be sent an invitation.

What should I do if I have registered in good time but have not received my entrance pass?

Please contact your depositary bank and seek clarification as to whether you have been registered for the Annual General Meeting. Provided that the registration has been carried out properly by your depositary bank, we can issue a replacement entrance pass on the day of the Annual General Meeting.

I am unable to attend the Annual General Meeting in person. Can I vote by proxy?

You can be represented at the Annual General Meeting by a company proxy, who then votes on your behalf and in accordance with your instructions. Alternatively, you can be represented at the Annual General Meeting by a personal representative, granting this person power of attorney on the reverse side of your entrance pass, or by directly ordering an entrance pass in their name at your depositary bank. Some depositary banks also offer the service of representing you at the Annual General Meeting. Another option could be to be represented by a Third Party, such as a shareholders association.
